Pastor Tim Kneuss

Hi!  Glad you could make it to our website!  I’m Pastor Tim and I’d love to show you around!

Mt. Moriah traces its legacy back two hundred years to its founding in 1824!

Back then our location in Southern Rowan County was mostly agricultural.  The farmers are still here and with newer housing developments arriving every day we have been blessed with members from all over the country.

Our iconic building and forested property cover nearly 70 acres.  We have hiking trails, a playground, a basketball court, an outdoor pavilion, and a fellowship hall inside.

We love to include the local community in our celebrations!  Last year we celebrated New Year’s Eve and had some awesome fundraisers, including, a car show and a talent show!

Our membership is a solid mix of all ages.  On Sundays we have multiple, well-attended Sunday School classes for adults and children, a nursery, and children’s church for young children during the sermon!  If you’re a kid, or you have kids you will be pleased to find a community of awesome children and parents!

Worship tends to be more traditional.  We like to wear robes, use old school hymnals, and follow the liturgical calendar.   This most popular service is held in the sanctuary at 10:30am.  Facebook Live broadcasts the service for those at home, also.  So, before you visit be sure to check out last Sunday’s worship!

If you are looking for a more intimate setting, join me for Chapel in my office at 8:30am on Sundays.  We enjoy a small group setting with discussion, prayer, and communion.

During the week, feel free to join our talented choir directed by Mr. Michael Kotish.  On Sundays, “Mike” blesses our sanctuary with soul-filled music.  Choir practice is held on Wednesday evenings at 7pm.  However, be sure call the church (704) 857-5034 before heading over.  Some weeks even the choir takes a break!

If any of this sounds good, I invite you to give us a try.

God is doing a new thing!
